Drug Information
This section of our website contains health and safety
information pertaining to some of the more commonly used
recreational drugs. The first page in each drug section presents
simple, basic facts explaining what the drug is, its effects, the
main risks of using it, and the most important health and safety
information for reducing the risks and harms associated with it.
More detailed information appears in sub-menus on the left side of
each drug's main page.
What is a "dance"
drug?
Some recreational drugs are used by people who enjoy their
effects while dancing. Ecstasy in particular has become closely
associated with raves and nightclubs, places where people go to
dance. While ecstasy use is certainly common in these environments,
the term "dance drug" is misleading. Ecstasy, as well as all the
drugs we describe on our site are used by all kinds of people in
all kinds of settings. Labeling any of them "dance drugs" or "club
drugs" fails to convey the multitude of reasons why people choose
to use them. You don't have to be a raver to benefit from the
information on our site. It is useful for anyone who uses or knows
someone who uses any of these drugs.
