I couldn't easily find the California State paraphernalia laws directly, but CA NORML has the text. Kits used to identify, analyze, etc are considered paraphernalia and possession of paraphernalia is a misdemeanor with fines and jail time. I've never heard of anyone getting harassed for having our kits in in that state. Wouldn't be surprised if it happened but we try really hard to make it clear we distribute these as a public health measure similar to needle exchange. We'd definitely like to know if anyone does have a problem with law enforcement involving our kits, in any state.
