Join DanceSafe at the International Drug Policy Reform Conference This Week

On Wednesday, October 11, people from over 80 countries will gather in Atlanta for the Drug Policy Alliance’s biennial International Drug Policy Reform Conference. Attendees of the conference will have the opportunity to spend three days interacting with people committed to finding alternatives to the war on drugs while participating in sessions given by leading experts from around the world.
DanceSafe National and the DanceSafe Georgia and Florida Chapters will be onsite for the conference, offering harm reduction services and participating on the following panels and round tables:
October 13th:
Join our Director of Operations, Kristin Karas, for “How to Create Change for Young Adults: College Campuses & Beyond” at 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM in Cottonwood.
Our Northeast Regional Coordinator and New York Chapter Director, Kellye Greene, will be speaking on the panel “Pills & Potions: How is Harm Reduction Different for Young Black People Who Party?” from 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM, also in Cottonwood.
Our Executive Director, Mitchell Gomez, will be on the panel for “Checking Out Drug Checking: Can It Solve the Overdose Crisis?” from 4:30 PM to 6 PM in International Ballroom E.
October 14th:
Join Mitchell again for “Psychedelics 101: What Do Psychedelics Have To Do With Drug Policy Reform?” from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM in Cottonwood.
In addition, join Kellye at the AFROPUNK festival in Atlanta, where she will be boothing alongside the Drug Policy Alliance. This is the second time DanceSafe has teamed up with the DPA to booth an AFROPUNK event, where New York DanceSafe drug information cards and other harm reduction supplies will be available.
