The Outreach Director is responsible for: overseeing all aspects of volunteer participation, including recruitment, training, supervision, and scheduling; event and outreach planning, coordination, organization and promotion; public relations development through community education, involvement and support; program development, implementation, and evaluation; and other administrative tasks.
Reports to:
Executive Director
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop curriculum(s) for a standardized DanceSafe volunteer training program;
- Engage in ongoing program development, implementation, and evaluation;
- Preparation and dissemination of reports and findings;
- Manage drug checking programming, data collection, and monitoring system;
- Develop harm reduction messaging and outreach materials;
- Manage volunteers, on-site and off-site;
- Facilitate new chapter development and volunteer recruitment;
- Develop new regional coordinators and be responsible for recruitment, training, and oversight;
- Assist the executive director in all his/her duties;
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in health sciences, public and/or community health, health communication, social work, psychology, or nonprofit management and/or prior equivalent experience, Master’s degree preferred;
- Experience in program development, implementation, and evaluation;
- Experience in volunteer coordination;
- Knowledge of and dedication to harm reduction movement;
- Knowledge of or experience working in nightlife settings preferred;
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite,Google Docs/Hangout, Hootsuite, SPSS;
- Ability to multitask and work remotely and independently;
- Excellent time management skills;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Strong leadership skills;
- Must be sociable and personable; and
- Must have a valid driver’s licenseand passport
Schedule and Travel Requirements:
- Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week
- Occasional night and weekend hours
- Position requires high amount of domestic and international travel, most expenditures covered by DanceSafe.
Salary:
$29,000- $34,000 per year
