Help DanceSafe stay on-beat with our 2017 Fall Auction!
Last Updated: August 1, 2022
For twenty years, DanceSafe has been a recognized name in the electronic music, festival, and nightlife communities. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides free harm reduction services to members of the nightlife and festival communities, including tools and information to help individuals make healthy and informed lifestyle choices.
At DanceSafe, we understand how special nightlife and music festival experiences can be for people. These experiences are a way of connecting more deeply with friends and strangers, a place of transcending through art, music, and radical self-expression. DanceSafe Volunteers understand this, and are themselves part of these communities. They want everyone to have a memorable experience, which means staying safe and practicing self-care.
Currently, DanceSafe has over 20 active chapters in the United States and Canada with hundreds of DanceSafe Volunteers carrying out DanceSafe’s mission to thousands of music and nightlife event attendees. DanceSafe Volunteers have attended over 250 major music festivals and events, including TomorrowWorld, Electric Forest, Symbiosis, Imagine, Lightning in a Bottle, and hundreds of smaller club and underground shows.
To raise money for chapter development and outreach, DanceSafe is hosting an online auction beginning on November 28, 2017. Proceeds from the auction will be used to help start new DanceSafe Chapters, and to provide resources to Chapters already established.
DanceSafe’s services are vital for the safety and well being of individuals in our communities who attend live music events. With your help, we can further our reach and provide DanceSafe’s services to more communities than ever. Together, we can continue this social movement grounded in honest dialogue and practical solutions, free of stigma and judgment, strengthening a sensible and sustainable future.
If you are an artist, vendor, or member of the community that is interested in donating an item for the auction, please contact Madalyn at madalyn@dancesafe.org. To be featured in the online auction, all items must be received by November 7, 2017.
