A white/off white powder sold online as Molly (MDMA) and submitted on June 3 from Columbus, Ohio tested as N-Ethylpentylone, a new cathinone derivative that has just recently made its way into the market. It is so new, in fact, that there is not yet an Erowid page for the drug. Anecdotal reports suggest adverse psychological effects, and there has already been a fatality linked to N-Ethylpentylone.
With the Marquis and Mecke reagents, the substance reacted as a bright yellow, and with Mandelin, reacted as a darker yellow. See the full EcstasyData.org submission here.
