Look Out For FAKE DanceSafe Endorsements
Important Notice: Protecting Yourself from Unauthorized Products
Attention all DanceSafers!
What Happened:
It has come to our attention that unauthorized sellers are using the DanceSafe name and logo to market products that are not actual DanceSafe products. Some products depict the DanceSafe name and/or logo in a manner that suggests DanceSafe endorses or approves the product. This is not the case.
Why is this Important?
The unauthorized use of the DanceSafe logo could increase the very harm that DanceSafe aims to reduce. For the safety and integrity of our community, please do not purchase these products. DanceSafe has not endorsed these items, and DanceSafe makes no guarantee on their safety.
What do these products look like?
Some unauthorized products are shown here. These products are NOT endorsed, approved, or authorized by DanceSafe.

Next Steps:
DanceSafe needs your help! Please help us maintain the integrity and mission of DanceSafe. If you notice someone selling unauthorized products, especially products like those above, please let us know. If possible, please provide a photo and/or screenshot of the product that depicts DanceSafe’s name and/or logo, and provide as much detail as possible, via e-mail to permissions@dancesafe.org
Best Practices:
For the health and safety or our community, and to ensure the legitimacy of what you buy, please engage in the following practices:
Only Purchase Official DanceSafe Products
Authentic DanceSafe products are available at DanceSafe authorized booths at events and on our website at www.dancesafe.org. DanceSafe does not vouch for the safety, efficacy, or integrity of any products sold by third parties or unverified sources.
Spotting Unauthorized Products
Some products marketed under the DanceSafe name and/or logo are falsely presented as DanceSafe-approved. These bootleg items may appear convincing, but they are not affiliated, endorsed, sponsored by or approved by DanceSafe. Always verify your source before purchasing.
If the DanceSafe name, logo, or it’s copyrighted content is affixed to any packaging for any psychoactive substance, that product is NOT endorsed by DanceSafe. This includes any powders, drinks, food products, fungi, or any product that is edible, inhalable, injectable, or otherwise ingestible by any intake method.
If a vendor is selling DanceSafe branded products, including clothing, but the purchase link does not link directly to our online store at https://dancesafe.org/shop/ or the items is not being sold at an official DanceSafe booth, the vendor is likely unauthorized.
DanceSafe employees and vendors will never ask for personal or payment information outside of the DanceSafe website www.dancesafe.org or outside of verified DanceSafe live event booths.
Authorized Distributors and Authorized Re-Sellers from our Wholesaler members:
Authorized Distributors / Free Distribution of Educational and Harm Reduction Materials: https://dancesafe.org/wholesale-registration-page/ DanceSafe’s authorized distributors generally are SSPs, social service agencies, state health departments, schools, harm-reduction organizations, and other “do-gooders” who may distribute test strips, testing instructions, and educational materials for free (not for sale) to the public. If you are uncertain whether a “seller” is an authorized distributor, please send an e-mail to permissions@dancesafe.org.
Artist Affiliations / Event Sponsorships: From time to time, DanceSafe engages in campaigns with artist, event promoters, or other official organizations aligned with DanceSafe’s non-profit purpose. Those affiliations are marketed and promoted via DanceSafe’s website and social media. If you have any concerns about a product’s authenticity, contact us directly at permissions@dancesafe.org.
Together, we can help keep our community informed and support DanceSafe’s harm reduction mission. Thank you for helping us maintain the integrity and mission of DanceSafe.
