#TestIt Alert Issued for Los Angeles, CA
Last Updated: August 1, 2022
By: Lucille L., Communications & Social Media Intern, DanceSafe
A capsule containing white powder was submitted from Los Angeles, CA. The capsule was sold as Ecstasy/MDMA, but tested as MDA. According to EcstasyData.org, the Marquis reagent reacted to a purple-brown color, the Mecke reacted a purple-blue-black, and the Mandelin reacted purple, grey, brown in yellow. Keep in mind that these reagents will react similarly to MDMA, and the Simon’s and Folin reagents can differentiate MDxx compounds.
We urge our community to keep in mind that drug markets are expansive and these substances may appear in locations other than the submission’s origins. Always test before you ingest to avoid ingesting misrepresented substances! Purchase your DanceSafe drug checking kit here.
If you test a misrepresented substance, submit your drug checking results to us to be featured in a #TestIt Alert.
